I have created two other blogs using blogger.com. A personal blog: http://pacanafamily.blogspot.com/ and a pathfinder blog for my 701 class: http://pacanakpathfinder.blogspot.com/ I have found that blogger.com is an easy site to use. When typing your post a tool bar, similar to the one in Microsoft word, makes it easy to change the font and add pictures or videos to your post. It has several ready to go templates for you to choose from. It is easy to edit or remove items from your your blog. It is also easy to change the layout of your blog. You can use the controls that blogger gives you to change the layout or edit the html code if you choose. You can also control who comments on your blog. I have had a very positive experience using this blog site and I have found that my personal blog helps keep my family and friends whom don't live nearby up to date on important things in my life.
I investigated a blog titled The Annoyed Librarian on Library Journals website. This is a blog written by a librarian in which he offers his opinion on different aspects of librarianship. I actually found the blog entertaining to read. He offers a fresh perspective on topics and approaches them with a sense of humor. Some people will agree, others will not. I also enjoyed reading other peoples comments to the posts. The only thing that bothered me about the blog is that I found the text to be small and difficult to read on the computer. A larger font would have made it easier to read.
Kim, I checked out Annoyed Librarian and loved it! Thanks for the link. I love that kind of humor. I haven't read much of it yet, but just the post about the Teen Crafts at the Library including graffiti cracked me up. I agree, the font is kind of small. We must be getting old.
